Pictures, anyone? [Aug. 15th, 2007|07:16 am]
Prophecy 7

[Current Location |work]
[Current Mood |anxiousanxious]

Let me know if this isn't allowed, but I thought a nice Prophecy follow-up would be to see if anyone has any pictures they would like to share?  My hubby had the camera as he was keeping the kid occupied around the city while we were in sessions, so I unfortunately don't have any of anything except the city (but would love to share if you'd like any)!

Formal Programming Volunteers Needed! [Jul. 31st, 2007|10:51 am]
Prophecy 7

Hi everyone,

Looking for a fun way to get involved in Prophecy? Volunteer to be an Unspeakable, a formal programming usher!

Unspeakables are those who guard the Prophecy, those who are responsible during programming sessions. This is a great way to get involved, meet new people, earn points for your house, and still attend formal programming sessions!

Training will be provided on-site on Wednesday at 6:30 PM and Thursday at 12:00 PM, meeting in the lower concourse lobby.

- assisting presenters
- making sure AV equipment remains in programming rooms
- enforcing fire code (room capacity restrictions)
- ushering attendees

Shifts Needing to be Filled:

- Morning shifts - 8:40 AM to 12:00 PM - 8 Unspeakables, 1 Captain
- Afternoon shifts - 1:40 PM to 5:00 PM/5:20 PM/6:00 PM (depending on the room) - 8 Unspeakables, 1 Captain

- Morning shifts - 8:40 AM to 12:00 PM - 9 Unspeakables, 1 Captain
- Afternoon shifts - 1:40 PM to 5:00 PM/6:00 PM/6:20 PM (depending on the room) - 7 Unspeakables, 1 Captain

To volunteer, PLEASE JOIN the Prophecy_Unspeakables yahoo group.

Please post in this group, or e-mail me, Maddy, at <>, or ask the volunteers at the Info Desk to radio me to sign up for a shift (or more than one!). Also be sure to inform our Volunteer Coordinator, Lynda, which shift you have picked, either by e-mailing her at <prophecyvolunteers@gmail.com>, asking for her at the Info Desk, or find her at the on-site volunteer headquarters. You will need to sign in with her at the start of your shift.

Thank you for your help and I can't wait to meet you all!

Question about formal programming scheduling [Jul. 31st, 2007|10:16 am]
Prophecy 7

Did anyone else notice that there are a few apparent scheduling conflicts (or at least typos) in the formal programming presentations?

The two presentations I'm concerned about are:

1) "Canon Boys, Fandom's Toys" by Mijan, on Friday afternoon - the time is written as 5-5:50, but it is in the 3-3:50 time slot on their PDF schedule and there's apparently another presentation in the same room at 5

2) "The Powers and Perils of Girlhood" on Saturday afternoon - again, the time is written as 3-3:50, but it is in the 5-5:50 time slot on the PDF and overlaps another presentation at 3

Does anyone know what's going on with this? Should I assume the PDF is right and the written times are both typos? I realize I can probably find this out from the Prophecy Powers That Be when the conference starts, but I'm a busy woman and I want to plan my schedule in advance. Anyone have any thoughts?

Homey don't play that, neither do I... [Jul. 17th, 2007|02:50 pm]
Prophecy 7
I KNOW I'm all over everyone's f-lists today (sorry to those are on my f-list and have to suffer through my recent, constant updates as well), but since posting here is open to everyone, I have to make this ONE quick/short announcement first:

If you do post anything spoiler related, I'll ban you in an instant (see mean Georgia, not pretty) and make sure you get no Butterbeer at the Pub... Well, okay I won't go that far, but you'll certainly be on my bad side, which is just as bad. A lot of people LIKE spoilers, but a lot of people HATE them, and there are communities on LJ for spoilers. All you have to do is ask, and I'll tell you where to look!

Aside from that, post, have fun, go nutso. *grins*

Just in case, I'm moderating posting as well. But don't think I won't ban you if you try. *grins*

I hate shameless self promotion but I am faced with a bit of an economical crisis at the moment and need some fast cash pronto. So I'm just re-pimping my pins.

Pin Reminder [Mar. 30th, 2007|06:08 pm]
Prophecy 7

Hey everyone! Just reminding everyone that I still have pins left for sale! I will be making more of these designs upon request. Just like the Weasley Pins, the profits will help me pay for Prophecy 2007. They're all made with Polymer Clay, very lightweight and durable. The backings have a safety-pin type closure and are secured with Krazy Glue. The smaller ones are tie tacks and have pin backings. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me at PsychoHaired@hotmail.com .

Hello everyone!

This is Rain, and I do apologize if you see this more than once. I would like to pass on word for anyone interested that I am taking commissions for knitting HP scarves. All information about the scarves I make can be found on my knitting journal: starlightthread. I still have slots for PR, and I'm completely open for Prophecy, Sonorus, and Sectus as well.

Also my partner in crime still has a few slots available for completing school robes for PR! moony_couture does all sorts of HP based costumes and is completely open for commissions for Prophecy, Sonorus, Sectus, and even the Halloween season afterwards! moony_couture has excellent prices and a great variety of completed costumes for you to see on her website.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact either of us and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible. ^_^
